Joint venture with Ballast Nedam, Holland (together with sister company, SO.LI.CO.) The country’s major gateway, Kuwait International Airport (KIA) is located in the southern outskirts of Kuwait City’s metropolitan area.

Al Hani was responsible for the development’s electrical works. The work included: Design, supply and installation of 30m high masts with metal halide floodlights for illuminating the apron area and TC lighting area. Supply and installation of instrument landing systems CAT II (ILS CAT II), VHF localiser, UHF glide scope, UHF DME and remote indication and control desks for runways at the Kuwait International Airport. Supply and installation of runway visual range system, cloud height indicator, pressure sensor system, wind velocity and direction indicator system. Air traffic control system in the control tower for communication between ground and the aircrafts, VHF receivers and transmitters, portable VHF transceivers, antennae, light gun and CCTV system. Approach lights, PAPI lights, runway centre line lights, runway edge lights, touchdown zone lights, taxiway lights, guidance sign boards, constant current regulators, wind cones, seating pots, a computerised multiplex control transmission system to transmit commands from the remote control desks and the status of lights to the control tower.
