This, the largest mosque in Kuwait is situated in front of the Seif Palace. The bulk of the interior is divided into the various prayer areas but a large library is also included together with a sizable parking garage.
Ducting installations were completed with precast elements lined with thermal insulation. Equipment was located in basement plant rooms to limit the risk of noise transmission to the prayer areas. This was the first instance of such an installation in Kuwait. A central control and monitoring system were also installed as was a fresh air filtration network. The cooling capacity is about 1200 tons.
